Are there any?
It seems I'm going to be doing a bit of work all over the place and being rather mobile soon so i need a laptop, and now my ignorance of laptops is coming back to bite my backside

Don't foresee needing a very powerful GPU (may even be able to get away with integrated)

would like to have 2 drive slots, one will be an SSD for OS and applications and the other a harddrive for mass storage. preferably with SATA3 (if no dual drive SATA3s then waive the dual slot for a single SATA3, i can use an external drive instead)

the other stuff will need to be powerful enough to run anything that will be used in a computer science BSc course.

would like a trackpoint pointer (like on some toshiba laptops and lenova thinkpads) though this is primarily so I can use one and formulate a proper opinion on them, if not i'll be using an external mouse/trackball

preferably under a grand (in £Sterling ) though can go over.

open to suggestions about dropping requirements if they are really restrictive and hold back the rest of the requirements being fulfilled

If anyone has a link for an up-to-date laptop buying guide that's good that would be welcome too

Need any more info to help me then just ask.
