That is really bad packaging. A motherboard is a very sensitive device. You don't put it in a box that small, let alone without an anti-static bag. It even looks like the plastic mounting bracket is missing which would prevent you from installing the stock cooler or some aftermarket CPU coolers. You have a very good case to make against this seller. If you'd rather keep the board than send it back (that is of course assuming it still works), I'd shoot him a PM stating your dissatisfaction with the packing, missing bracket, and that the board got damaged due to the poor packaging. I'd request a partial refund. I doubt he'd give a full refund without you sending it back. Did you at least pay with Paypal, because if worse comes to worse you could at least open a Paypal dispute. Though with that you will probably have to send it back to the seller.

The problem with this is that you woulkd then have to straighten the pins out (for example) and if it doesn't work, the other guy could come back and say that is didn't work because of the "fix" that was made.

I'd simply return it stating that no effort was made to protect the item shipped and that purchase was made based on the assumption that the board was in working order and that at least some sort of proper packaging would have been done. There is simply no guarantee of that now.

Some pretty bad packaging. Depending on the price you paid I'd test it & make sure it is all functional, if it was cheap enough & everything works pins can be straightened.
If you paid top dollar you have a right to be pissed, & should send it back if you can get the $ back.
Either way you should at least let the seller see that crappy packing can do damage, that's messed up...

I know right, the seller is really clueless. That you paid with Paypal is very good news because you at least have some protection and way to get your money back if the seller gives you trouble. The missing mounting bracket just kind of jumped out at me. I'd see what the seller says about all this. Maybe he still has the bracket and just forgot to send it, and maybe he lost it. If you do end up keeping the board and the seller can't help, you could use a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ (it doesn't require the AMD mounting bracket). I'm sure there are other coolers that don't require the bracket too but that's one I actually own and know of. Another option would be to contact MSI, I'm sure they'd be happy to help you get a replacement mounting bracket and screws.

I would never buy, a used computer parts without it's OEM package. Unless I get picutres, of how it's packed if there no OEM packaging, then maybe.

I would DEMAND a refund, and expect the selling to pay return shipping for the poor packaging.
