WATERCOOLING Corsair 700d! Sandy Bridge SLI project - Blocks on everything 'cept hdd

Now first a little introduction;

3 weeks ago, i was a complete pc noob... The most complicated thing i had ever done to a pc, was to take off the side panel. Then suddenly, i felt the urge to buy a monster pc, because i had recently given up shooting clays. I bought a new rig. Soon - as ALL my hobbies do - it escalated, and i installed a bit of watercooling .. Now i have gone completely crazy with pc building, and i have just started a new project cool.gif

My project has begun, and i have decided to fully submerge a Corsair 700d biggrin.gif

This is the components to be used;

CPU: I7 2600k
GPU: 2xGTX 560 Ti SLI
PSU1: Coolermaster 750 Watt
PSU2: Random 450 watt psu (only to supply fans, dvd drive, harddisk, pumps etc.. temporary solution until $$ smile.gif
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme
RAM: 8 Gigs of Kingston 1600mhz Hyperx blue
Harddisk: 1TB Seagate 7200 RPM

This is the WC components;

XSPC RX480 Radiator
XSPC RS240 Radiator
XSPC RS120 Radiator
250ml Cylinder reservoir
(Thinking about adding one more res, if $$.. input requested?)
Thermaltake 120 radiator (if room .. smile.gif
Hose: not yet decided - OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS ! biggrin.gif
Coolant: PrimoChill Blood red Non conductive
GPU Block: EK Full cover Acetal gtx 560 Ti - x2
CPU Block: XSPC Rasa acetal
Motherboard Block: EK Full cover Max. 4 extreme waterblock (mosfets + nf200 chip + p67 chipset)
PUMP: EK DCP 4.0 x2 (in parralel or series? - input appreciated)
+ A bunch of fans.

On top of that, i will be adding some red light - gonna do red and black, 700d is perfect for that - and some UV.

Pictures of the wonderful EK blocks will prob. come tomorrow, when i get the cam fired up. I am waiting for the post to ddeliver my 700d and my mobo.

Speek freely - any suggestions are welcomed as well is criticism biggrin.gif I would appreciate to be stopped if doing something wrong, considering i didn't know how to remove a graphics card 4 weeks ago .. cool.gif

Ram will be a future upgrade, coz of $$

O_O that's a lot of epicness in there. Good luck!

One note, the title of the thread made it sound like you were gonna give it an oil bath xD
post #3 of 24
Sounds epic, but from the title I thought it was one of those mineral oil builds.

Yes, you're slightly misusing the term "submerge". As there are submerged PC's.

By submerging, do you mean waterblocks on everything possible, or actual oil submersion??

[edit]Damn, several people beat me to the question!

Ram is not worth it, much restriction for bling. MB isn't worth it as well, though you can get some good gains depending on your overclock. If running a single loop, series pumps is best.

You setup looks almost like my rig.

this will be great, but

XSPC RX480 Radiator

will be more than enough- you could leave out one of the other 2 if you run out of space
