Ivy prob wont be much different then SB as it is the Tock of the tick for Intel, However the 6 core sandy bridge - e is a different story

I know. Thats why Im waiting before I upgrade my personal computer.
Ill be prepping with a new PSU, GPU and the like over the next few months, but Im waiting for more than 4 Physical cores to be available on an up to date platform before I do anything. I havent considered AM3 up to date for at least a year now.

Im probably not going to wait for Ivy. My Athlon is a lemon and I dont want to sink money into another CPU on AM3 with BD right around the corner.
One thing is for sure, Ill need more than I have now if I want to play BF3 anywhere approaching well.

Not too impressed right now due to the price.Just like I was with the debut of the X58.Now that the X58 is reasonable in price it makes it a better choice to me.When prices go down I will be on the SB bandwagon.Great clocking chips, great clock for clock speed and unfortunatally the price makes it a no go for me.

What kind of PPD do you get with your i7? My i5 was 220 bucks yet nets me 40k+ PPD.

Best PC upgrade purchase I've ever made to be honest, so easy to clock and so few issues overall compared to anything else I've had previously.
