They used to be the ultimate enthusiast motherboard manufacturer until they lost their main tweaker guy a few years ago and then things went downhill. I will be buying an Asus or Gigabyte board next.

try Gigabyte over Asus

I had a Asus board after my pent 4 abit one (abit looks alot like dfi)
hated/disliked it (same goes for all the Asus boards I had)
then I got a am3 Gigabyte and found it to be a bit more like abit

In my experience, the Cheaper ASUS boards have gotten better but their more expensive boards have gotten worse. Gigabyte seems to be average all across the board.

If I am ever spending less than $60 on a mother board I ussually go with ASUS.

2 of the 3 motherboard I have bought were DFI. They were the dk p35 t2rs and the dk x48 t2rs. The only reason I got the x48 was because I scratched the back side and cut some of the traces. They overlooked my e8400 to 4ghz with out a flinch. I still have a old pick of my setup if you click my aviator. I never spent much time tweaking my BIOS to really take advantage of the board but I loved them and nearly shed a tear when I sold my x48.
