Earthwatts 650 vs Earthwatts 650

So I was thinking about picking up a cheap 650W for a new build I'm tinkering with, and as usual I want to contrast cheap with quality.

I was looking at the Antec EA-650 as a possibility since it's on sale for $60 after coupon, when I noticed something surprising, it's actually only a 550W for all intents and purposes (540W on the 12V combined). I didn't remember that being the case and went to look at Earthwatts, and found the EA-650 Green has 650W on the 12V (wow thats weird) for $65.

I thought "hmm which one is better?" and went over to the recommended PSU list, surprised to not find either one on there. They're both pretty good delta units from what I can recall, or am I mistaken? Is it only the 430D (green) that's any good?

I'm not a fan of the TX650 v2 as it is non-modular and only comes with 2 PCI-E connectors (***?). Otherwise I would have been happy to drop 20 more bucks on that (and I can't stand MIR so I'm not going with XFX for now).

I checked the picture of the label on the side (as well as a review later). It's hard to read since most of the writing is in chinese or japanese(?), but across from the 12V it says 12V1, 12V2, 12V3 MAX LOAD 540W; for the EA-650. On the EA-650 Green it says 12V1, 12V2 MAX LOAD 650W.

540w on the +12v makes it a 600w.

Anyway, the newer EA-650 Green is better. They're both made by Delta but the Green is an updated version.
