Anyone have any experience with Woo Audio WA6 SE

Thread Starter
I just came up on a really good deal and swooped up on a WA6 SE (almost maxxed) and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this amp, especially when it comes to gaming. I bought mainly to listen to music, just wondering how it can improve 3d positioning in fps.

Thank you. I was jealous myself until about 7 p.m. smile.gif and now I can't wait to get it, but i have to sell my other amp.

It may improve soundstage and bring out additional detail a bit but it won't impart any magic that's not already there. Soundcards use processing techniques to accentuate positional cues that a typical amp won't do. I'm there's any 3rd party software that can replicate that, I have much more expertise on the music side of the coin.

I hear ya. I'm using an Auzen Prelude as my source but my next upgrade will most likely be a dedicated dac. Hasn't even started researching it yet because my wallet hurts.

What's your source? There's a few who's got the 6se here. You're still best to check out woo audio club on headfi.

I'm using the Prelude as my source right now, but I don't even want to start researching a dac right now because I'll end up buying something that I can't afford. I already stretched my wallet pretty far on this one.

Get it. Really, just get it. Playing games with proper soundstage and the incredible detail the amp provides is better than any sound card. I play COD4 on a modded tactical server and find the amp to be a huge advantage. Music wise, where mine gets the majority of use, it is amazing to say the least.

I already have the amp, well waiting for it to get here. I'm just going to hold off on getting a DAC until later this year. Even though I got a great deal on the amp , it was still very expensive. I need to get rid of my other amps, there's no point of having 2 right now.

Haha, it's like that guy on headfi who spend 3.5k on a WA5 and then is using a 100 dollar usb dac.

Here's a question, how are you going to connect the WA6se to your prelude? Line out to coaxial converters maybe?
