i'd get a 2500k and get a better gpu. 500 series from nvidia is out so get like a 560ti with money saved from going with the 2500k. 750w seems like alot. get a seasonic 620w and your golden. 8gigs of ram is alot don't you think? 6gigs seems fine 3x2

Sandy Bridges are Dual Channel, which is why I'm guessing he went with 8 gigs

And I would agree with the above poster. For that system, 750w seems a bit much

I wouldn't say it's a bad mobo cuz it is good and is head to head with the ASRock P67 Extreme6 but the ASRock has more SATA 3 and a couple other things. I like the ASRock. Check out toms hardware review on P67 boards. It will give you the pros and cons but ASRock is a better value and a better overclocker according to Toms Hardware.

750w is fine.... if he plans to dual GPU in the future.

6 gigs of ram in dual channel is 3gigs by 2 sticks. 3x2 triple channel would be 2x3 and single channel for 2 gigs would be 2x1
