Keep their costs down, release a slightly faster phone across nearly all the networks and reap huge profits (because we know iPhone 3G/3GS/4 owners will upgrade to the 4S).
We'll see soon enough, I don't think they will do that

I wish verizon would let me trade them my dx and some cash for this. Even tho the bootloader will most likely be locked but I don't care. Just look at that POWER!

Not enough for me to want to trade in my current Droid X in favor of this. Tegra 2 is nice, but the original X is still solid. I'm not going to get another phone until Verizon 4G is in my area, which isn't until next year.

Not really, iPhone 5 will most likely have HSPA+ support anyways. If you mean LTE, LTE radios sucks currently. The Galaxy S2 won't have LTE and that won't stop it from selling like crazy. The HTC Thunderbolt currently has loads of problems because of it's LTE radio.

4G phone will be my next phone. It's nice to live in a major city. Parts of mine already have 4G.

My X takes better pics than my CyberShot. After I'm done watching movies on Netflix, that is....

The Droid X sucks in doors in low light. It takes decent pictures with a decent amount if light but takes amazing pictures outdoors. Remember though, its only a phone.
