[Y] Computer desktop clutter reveals your personality - Page 5

In win xp I always had a really neat desktop, but for the last few years in vista and 7, it's been really messy. The screen is full of games and tools. It never fails though, that something happens and I end up needing a reinstall before it fills up. Upgrades demand it, or I get carried away with some tweak I can't undo.

I think also that vista and 7's start menu isn't as sleek as the old style. That keeps me from using it much. I pretty much use win explorer, the search bar, and the desktop. I don't like how the games folder is either. All the superfluous info is superfluous.

Makes sense to me. I like to keep minimal items on my desktops. My desktop PC has about 3 icons I believe and my laptop has a few more than that. I cant stand a cluttered desktop.

when i was younger, I had a messy desktop... I would just save everything to the desktop and once a month I would make a new folder and move everything into it, starting fresh.

Now I have nothing on the desktop. I like with win7 that when you mouse over a program it shows you the recent items, so easy to open. add the quick icons on the task bar and everything just feels so much more organized and simple.

That is horrible. Had a friend that did that, he'd literally sometimes run out of squares on the desktop and have to delete program icons. Also, he'd have multiple identical folders on the desktop, like 3 "games" folders and such.

So, my desktop says that I've not finished any sort of education, I live in the suburbs, and I put my personal life ahead of work?

I think this 'study' is completely backwards.

Funny, becuase I'm a conservative suburbanite who sucks at math, but I am career-minded.

Both my work and home desktop are cluttered really bad.

i am as liberal as can be, i am very very messy in regards to.... well everything,

however my first main monitor is rainmetered and has no icons, where as my second monitor is a dump ground

HOWEVER, i am not good at math.... atleast i dont think i am, not sure what "good" at math equals.

In my sense of "good" i am not good at math.

EDIT: also as adcantu "said when i was younger, I had a messy desktop... I would just save everything to the desktop and once a month I would make a new folder and move everything into it, starting fresh."

I used to do the same thing till well i built my computer and found rainmeter.
