Cooler Master V6GT problem..?

Yea, hey there. I was going to get this cooler for my ASUS P8P67 Pro, since i love the look and it cools nicely and not so far behind Megahalems Rev.B, which was my other choice. But recently i read that V6GT has problems with 1155 boards and it kills them ? I read that the backplate of the V6 GT contacts the solder points on the board, and this ends in motherboard death.
Anyone can confirm this and if it's true anyway to fix this issue?

Eh. I would stray away from the V6GT. There are other coolers out there that perform just as well for lower price.

From what i read the v6 sucks anyways. But i doubt that it blows up motherboards.... anyways if you checked the back for any contact after you put it in it should be fine.
