[Tom's]The Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Review: Take Off Your Ti

As we suspected at the start of this piece, Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 performs very closely to AMD's Radeon HD 6870 on average, although the minimum frame rates are a bit lower. Nevertheless, if we see these cards at the suggested $199 retail price, AMD will face some stiff competition.

When it comes to factory-overclocked models, making recommendations (not surprisingly) gets more difficult. After all, now we're talking about derivatives in between aggressively-priced reference models. There’s not a lot of breathing room between a $200 GeForce GTX 560 and a $240 GeForce GTX 560 Ti or Radeon HD 6950
Full review

I'm not a fan boy, but and ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II comes on the way for my rig, maybe add another one for hack SLI. I have to admit that I prefer nVidia over AMD in GPUs.

For $50 more you can get a 2GB 6950 and unlock it to a 6970... Why would you waste $200 on that?

It's basically an overclocked 460 1GB. Since the 460 can easily hit those clocks anyway without voltage tweaking, this card is pretty much useless.

Seriously? You're better off wasting money on a 9800GT.

They really should have just made the 560Ti $200 and called it a day...

Actually, most 6950's these days cannot be unlocked, so that point is pretty much moot now, unless your buying used.

This card fits in quite nicely I think, right between the 560 ti and the 550 ti. A little bit better competitor for the 6850.
