Gonna return my first gen 1155 board back but I'm not sure on which one to get. The P67 is cheaper by about £10 but apart from no esata/coaxal and more sata ports, what else does the Z68X-UD3P-B3 offer over the P67?

Meh. SSD Caching, onboard graphics.
Personally, there really is no reason to go for Z68 platform.
But I must say, that Gigabyte Z68 board is mad sexy.

The Z68 is suppose to have some kind of SSD advantage over the P67 and video editing bonuses that it can do. I thought about getting it my self because I have alot music that needs editing, but since everyone was referring to video on that board I decided not to get it and save for a P67 board.
I do understand that the Z68 has similiarities with H67 & P67 boards. I be nice if einstein broke it down to lamemans terms.

I believe the P67 UD4 and the Z68 UD3P both have the same amount of SATA ports, but the UD3 has 4x SATA 3Gb/s and 4x SATA 6Gb/s (2 running off the Marvell chipset).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the UD4 have 4x SATA 3Gb/s, 2x SATA 6Gb/s and 2x eSATA?

I know it's not a reason to buy it over the UD4, but it's a difference I thought I'd point out.

Essentially due to the SLI support in the Z68 UD3P over it's P67 variation, you could say it has become a P67 UD4 board... only with the obvious added Z68 extras.
