Duke Nukem Forever - thoughts? - Page 2

Don't know, don't care, still buying it day one, because it's Duke, plain and simple.

Don't care what the reviewers say, because F--- them. Too many times they hate a game (Brink, love it) I like, or they love a game/series I hate (*cough*CoD).

Reviews are all either highly opinionated, bought, or just plain stupid.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but if everyone only bought what reviewers gave 9.0 and higher, we'd all be console kids playing our 360s and PS3s.

They better make every last aspect of DNF enjoyable. I dont know how the game's gonna make up for the whole decade of waiting. With all the fps games out there, this better stand out.

Everybody is basically preparing themselves to be let down.. sure it probably won't live up to 10 years of waiting but c'mon, I'm sure it's still going to be a great game that is tons of fun. Who cares if it took 10 years to come out, at least Gearbox stepped forward and finished the project.

I await this game as it will be a fresh new concept over the same old boring rehashed stuff we have today. This is the only game this year that looks to be worth my time and money since Mass Effect 2 last year.

Fresh concept? Judging from the trailers (which are about as accurate as a paraplegic trying to score a headshot in UT at 200% game speed) it looks like a generic fps. Looks slightly more promising than a generic space-marine-in-a-brown/grey-environment fps, but a fresh concept? C'mon. Doom was a fresh concept. And that's about it. Well, maybe Thief and System Shock deserve mention, but that's definitely it. Video game industry in general has a considerable trouble coming up with fresh concepts, let alone trying to liven up an almost two decade year old genre that hasn't really changed all that much over the years.
