Ok i am back form the desert over the great sea... i need to finish my rig i have my laptops and WHS and other things i am finishing up ... I need some help ...

I know the new stuff coming out in a month or two but i need to start to practice my day trading on this computer so it need to be able to pump a lot of calculations and such ...

I am going to be day trading and some other type of commodities trading. Here is a list what i have:

- 1 Kwatt PSU
- 5870 2gb
- Fullsize case
- 16gb ddr3 1600 ram (9 lat)
- (about 7 LCDs and other stuff for looks nice things)

I need a HDD and a mobo and CPU

(hdd same in both cases unless some oen can find me a better option)
- Hdd WD black Ent Ed
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136798

Amd combo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.638680

253$ shipped to me.

Intel combo
(mobo)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115074
(cpu)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128501

310$ shipped

What one to get and what is better ... think that most meta 4 and 5 programs utilize cores ..... but i want to (about 2 months after teh new amd and intel witch ever one i decide i want in a few months comes out) trade the mobo out for the new 9** or the X7** so ... then this will be a back up rig .. but my budget is about 300-400 or less if possible u know ... the less the better

Ok i want to buy this tonight ... (side note change the HDD u better have a good reason i want something about 750 gb and more that has the ablity to be harvesting INfo none stop as it will need to for the calculation and trends and such. hence what i feel the need for enterprise hdd??)

Thanks guy this is not to be a RED vs BLUE type thing just pure help and people who have done meta 4 or 5 and have tried both the help would be epic thanks!

Go with the Intel build. Even locked at the stock frequencies it will outperform the 1090.

Sandy Bridge > Phenom II

Go with a 2500K though. Yes, the price difference IS worth it, since you can hit 4.2 - 4.4 with the STOCK cooler.

If you live near a Microcenter, I would recommend a 2500K instead since it's $179, since the non K processor have limited OC capabilities.

Amazon has a new 2500K for $213

Otherwise, stick with NewEgg and browse the combos, as there are lots.

Don't think so, overclocked 1090t would probably be better. He did say there were 4 or 5 programs he was using that could utilize the cores, that's what I got from that

either the WD black or samsung f3 would be good. Both drives are reliable even if they are constantly reading and writing

I'd go with the 1090T based combo simply because you can overclock it! I think most people here forget what website they are on. The 2400 setup is for your grandma's computer.

I ouwld buy the i5-2500k if someone wanted to pick it up at a Micro center for me ... i would pay via pay pal but i doubt that anyone would do it. Plus i am working in a budget. And I want to finish buying everything tonight ... I will be doing some gaming but not all that much .... that is not the reason for this rig Lol
