How to get a 5870 past 900/1300 clocks

Thread Starter
I can run both of mine stable at 900 core/1300 memory clocks. I'm trying to get it beyond those clocks, but MSI Afterburner won't let me. I have the XFX-ZNFC non-reference cards.

Am I able to go beyond those clocks since they are the ZNFC revision?

Any insight would be appreciated.

have you tried using sapphire trix to adjust the voltage? I've read that allows it for non-ref cards.

I will try Trixx and let you know.

Im pretty sure Trixx works with the non-reference 5870. If it doesnt, your pretty much stuck. I had an xfx 4890 non-reference and that thing overclocked so bad, i exchanged it for another one and got the same results. Good luck

Don't bother going above 1300 on the men, it's not worth it..

Once I also read something about a bug related to going above it that could decrease performance... well, I have no source, but if you try, you are going to find out you are not going to get a huge improvment going beyound 1300 on the mem

I only want to increase the core. The max core I can get without an unlock method is 900. But thank you.
