Oh definitely, that's what i used to run back in the original APB although i can't remember what the upgrade was called back then.

+Firing Rate and + increased damage was beastly

I haven't even bothered buying any weapons because of the lease system. Just going to save my cash for something more worthwhile. Until they do away with it altogether.

The most important question to me however is whether we keep our characters when APB:R goes live. I so do not want to re-roll my character for the third time running.

Barring some huge failure on G1's part there should not be anymore char wipes.

Go to gamersfirst website and create an account(their account creation page is retarded imo).

Someone posted the direct download link earlier in this thread so just download the game from there and login!

You can get money easily in the game if you are a criminal. Just mug people for an hour, making sure to stay under threat level 5. That should be around $7,000.

What I usually do is mug people for a while. Go get my cash from the drops. Be near the money laundering place and mug a few more people to get 2x/threat level 5.

Earning cash is easy, it's the principle of not owning the weapon, but renting it for 10 days.

To be honest I do quite well with the STAR anyway.

I've only seen a total of 1 possibly hacker since OBT started, about 4 possible in CBT. I'm an active player who played since start of CBT too.

And no it is not my internet connection (before some smart ass perks his head up and tries to claim it is). I can play other online games, including other MMOs, and shooters (including the original APB), just fine.

And yes I am on a server relevant to my region (just to get the dumb questions out of the way before they are asked).

I also find the server disconnects every now and then aswell.

I'm aware it's an open beta and that there will be issues so I'm not too troubled at the moment, but I would hope that this is something that gets sorted out before the game goes live.
Europe servers are being fixed, if you're on a different server unless it's social district I doubt it's the servers.

Just make a G1 account, download game using their G1 Launcher, and use the character restoration they have on the G1 site so you can import 2 RTW characters.

I've tried the N-Tec and it's not bad, but its range is terrible and if you fire from the hip, well lets just hope they are at point blank range. It also has a low rate of fire.

The N-HVR 762 is only good for support. So on 1v1 it's almost useless. Since you can easily take cover.

The Joker SR15. This is one is a love and hate type of gun. Singe shot semi automatic and only 20 rounds for the base weapon. You can't shoot as fast you click so even then the rate of fire is relatively low. Damage is meh. It sucks even more than you don't get extra damage for shooting at the head.

The only big plus is that you can shoot at the hip and maintain pretty good accuracy and range.
The reason I still use NTEC a lot is no matter what, the range is amazing. Just fire in single shots/bursts and you destroy enemies fast if you can aim good.

Actually semis kill a lot faster than autos at about 50m+, except the Joker can destroy it at 0m~70m, after 70m it's luck mainly.

I easily make 30k-40k a day (around 5 hours) just from doing missions and nothing else.

Upgrades honestly weren't OP, I had a R312 enforcer on zombie and at the end I mainly played my no upgrade new enforcer and my R200 criminal that only had field supply and mono 1. People only called it OP as an excuse for losing, only real huge advantage from upgrades was mono 3 against rocket users and conc nades, but even then you could easily rush them since anything will kill them.

That's a pretty bad reasoning, it takes 1-2 missions, depending on if you have premium or not and how good you perform in the mission, to make enough money for a weapon. You can also stack weapons so that you can have 100 years worth of a weapon to use (not sure if it has or what the actual cap is on it)

I'm well aware of this as I can, fortunately, read.

No it's not. If I pay for something, I want to own it permanantly. Not on a rental basis.

Fortunately this wont be staying anyway.
