Do some videos off of youtube.com (music videos) have tearing such as
www.youtube.com evans blue-bulletproof?
this video tears for me and I dont think i noticed it when I had 11.4 drivers when i listen to it like 2 days ago..? can someone tell me if its tearing for them as well?
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIE2Hwz1kmQ[/ame]

edit: also I enabled triple buffering and slid the vertical refresh all the way to quality is this correct...
i noticed my heaven benchmarks would only go up to 30 FPS and not top out at 60 FPS its like it limits it as well as Vsync.

Use Driver Sweeper, get rid of those drivers. Roll back to older drivers.
Don't fix what ain't broke. Especially when it comes down to ATI/AMD drivers.

Yeah but wouldn't he want to upgrade to the latest and greatest if it's a performance boost? Why stay stuck with the older driver?

To the OP: That video for us that aren't having this problem dosen't show us what you saw btw.

So your saying that prior to the last driver update you were doing fine and now your having issues?

What I think you might have going on is vertical synchronization issues which can lead to artifacts in video and movies, as they are generally recorded at frame rates a lot lower than the typical monitor frame rates (24-30 FPS). When a movie is played on a monitor set for a typical 60Hz refresh rate, the video player will miss the monitor's deadline frequently.

Try disabling triple buffering perhaps and choose the option 'video player settings' and 'let 3D application decide' in your control panel. I don't recall where they are located in ATI Catalyst panel however. Something along those lines might solve your problem. Not to sure....good luck.

Side note and off topic: That chick in that video was sweet, I'd be bummed too. Good song btw redface.gif

Are you on 11.5 or 11.5a Hotfix?

Try 11.5a Hotfix, those seem to be the best for my Sapphire HD6970 CrossfireX, and I have no such issues.

Give them a try. smile.gif

THANKS for all the replies guys +1 rep to everyone

I believe it was the TRIPLE BUFFERING being enabled as I unticked it and No tearing smile.gif with 11.5 driver...

So 11.5 anyone sum up the benefits of the new 11.5 from 11.4? I noticed maybe a little less GPU usage on the normal stuff ...(a video doesnt take very much GPU usage anymore)
