HELP PLEASE! Computer not working!

Thread Starter
I just put together the rig with the parts stated in my sig...

I spent about 2 hours putting this together and now it doesnt even work! i have 2 problems that i need your guys input on! Im really confused right now..

First off, i press the power button and everything turns on fine( led, fans etc) and than 3 seconds later it shuts off, than turns back on...

Now another HUGE problem is that my monitor isnt detecting input from the computer so i cant see anything on my screen...

Any help please?!?!

Also on a side note i used a vga adapter i think its called, it goes from the blue cord to the white one so my gpu can plug in... however on the left side of the plug there is a cross and the adapter only has the horizontal one( not the whole cross).. does this matter at all?

Also i hope turning off my computer on the first boot isnt a bad thing because i held down the power button to shut it off on its first boot..

PLEASE give me some input and help me narrow down whats wrong!!!

THANK YOU
Blue Storm

Yes i put on all 9 feet onto the mobo... Any other suggestions/help?!??!?!

Update:

I fixed the problem my self..

For all having similar problems... the answer to my problem was the ram! I pulled out one of the sticks so now its only running one of them temporarily.. But at least i got it working!!!

*phew* ( huge sigh of relief!)
