Recommend me a GOOD, RELIABLE wireless N router

Thread Starter

So I currently have the

and its complete ****. I have to restart this garbage about 20 times a day for it to work properly and I am tired of all the issues.

So I want to upgrade now to a new wireless N router, that is RELIABLE and can handle up to 3-7 devices constantly on it (computers, iPads, iPhones, PS3, 360s).

Price range $50-$150.

(I dont care about installing DDWRT or anything)

I expect a lot of people to come in here and tell you a linksys because it can take after-market firmware and all that jazz. However I have had less than desirable experiences with linksys.

~A year ago I purchased this

http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=643

And I really have nothing bad to say about it other than the screen is damn near pointless and the paint on it seems to like dust. It has alot of features and has a really nice setup page.

Check it out, also I think they sell a few similar versions a bit cheaper.

This looks good.

I dont care about CFW on my router, I just want it to be RELIABLE.

Looking for any other, possibly cheaper solutions that may be better

My Netgear 854T refurb from ebay has been rocking for over a year. Keeps the wifey's lappy connected (so she's happy) & for $39.00 shipped -- it's a steal.

I have a Linksys WRT320N that I picked one up recertified about a year ago and it's been absolutely rock solid. Caveat: I am running DD-WRT; no idea how it does with the stock firmware.

Whatever you choose dont fall for the different speeds of wireless N. you can take the slow wireless N routers and flash them to support the faster Wireless N speeds. its all a marketing gimmick from the company to get ya to pay more for whats already there in each of the wireless N routers.

I myself prefer Linksys/cisco routers followed by dlink.

D-Link DIR-655 has been awesome for me so far, out of the box firmware has been solid.
