PC fails to boot, bad sata plug or hdd??

Hi All

Its me again. My previous post was PC fails to boot, can't get into bios.

I though I had the problem figured out. PC failed to boot with 2 hdd connected. I connected the 2 hdd to sata port #4 and booted no problem.
Bad sata port #3.

Started it tonight and no good. PC hung at ASUS splash screen. Disconnect 2nd hdd and boots no problem.

So now it sounds more like the 2nd hdd is failing. I disconnected my primary with the 2nd connected. Got into bios but 2nd hdd was not there.

Possibly a bad sata cable so I will try that next. This is getting a little frustrating.

Thanks
Hop

Replace the sata cable with another for the 2nd hdd, if it doesn't boot then its the hdd.
