Rather large desk

Thread Starter
I'm tired of my tiny glass desk and I was wondering where I could find a nice big wooden desk.
Requirments:
Has to be big enough to fit three monitors in the future.
Fit a PC on it
Have enough distance from the monitors for the keyboard and mouse to lay in front of it.
Has to be sturdy.

Would it be cheaper to make it myself. If so i'd need a guide and help seeing how i'm only 15 tongue.gif

Thanks

Don't know what it's called, just a big black desk with no frills. I love it.

Edit: ha, I'm 15 too.

See photo of my 3 mon setup on a large desk a few pages back on the show me ur official computer room pics thread.

It is from Ikea and cost 125$ and was extremely easy to put together. The shelf was 10$ or so at Home Depot.

Is that two galants combined? Or one set that is two separate pieces? I'm looking at the Galant from Ikea. Trying to find more flat right angle corner desks.

lol... ik this feeling... i have built a number of desks for different thing for different people for just a little more than the cost of materials because i wanted something to do in my spare time tongue.gif... building your own desk can be a pain, but is majorly rewarding when you finish it... also, one more thing to take into consideration is weather or not you have all the tools (there are a lot of them necessary to making a nice looking desk)

lol... sounds like your ready to go to me tongue.gif... if you are going to build a desk and want a challenge, instead of making it able to fit a comp case in, y dont you make it able to be your case? i have made one of these before and it was awesome tongue.gif you should check out these build logs for ideas

Wood Desk:
http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=661830

Metal Desk:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=256952

if you just search around there are plenty more build logs of integrated and non-integrated computer desks
