Nvidia yearly GPU serous

Thread Starter
I'm planning to build a gaming PC in late 2011 or early 2012 when the Intel Ivy Bridge CPU's come out and im planning to use Nvidia cards but now with the 500 series coming closer to there end and the 600 serous coming up im wondering how many series Nvidia releases per year? I heard that AMD releases about 2 per year but what about Nvidia?

Do you mean series? Or serious?

Anyway, there isn't really a set pattern, both companies try to have new tech available as soon as possible, but it r&d and manufacturing problems and setbacks vary from design to design, so new cards can be anywhere from a couple months afterthe last generation to a year or two. You normally will start to see lots of rumors right around a month before a new release though.
