Bought new speakers

Thread Starter
So I'm not much of an audiophile, but I'm slowly getting there.
I've had many cheap generic wired headsets and several sets of very cheap speakers. Recently I've been enjoying gaming with a Logitech g930, (mainly because it's wireless).

Anyways, today I decided to make the jump and got the Sony SRS-DB500 speakers from Frys.

I'm enjoying this set very much, and I was just wondering if I made a good pick for a first-time major speaker purchase. I know little about this stuff, but all I care for so far is that the sub-woofer is very nice and the sound is very clear. I'm going to be mainly gaming and watching movies, although I'll listen to music as well. I thought about getting a 5.1 setup but I have too much clutter on my desk and not enough room, plus most 5.1 speaker sets cost a lot more than this one did.

Any thoughts?
