Razer Blackwidow vs. Das Model S professional - Page 2

I had this same question the other day. I decided to get the blackwidow and I love it. It's amazing to type on and great for games. I've never tried a daskeyboard but have only heard good things about them.
I have heard major mixed reviews about the black widow, but it's really razer's quality control. If you like to gamble, go for the black widow. I want to make this post even longer so I have an excuse to type on this keyboard longer because I love it so much Either keyboard is a great choice if they send you one that is fully functional.

Razer's QC is quite possibly the worst ever in high end electronics

Not saying they don't make decent products, just 50% of the time they're defective

Where did you get that number from? Have you considered the fact that they sell more? (For example, if two products have a 10% failure rate, and there are 100 of product A and 10 of product B, then you will get 10 complaints for product A but only 1 for product B, but that doesn't tell you anything unless you know how many are actually sold).

That was a completely random and over the top (that's the point) number.
However some of the issues with Razer products are things that a 20 second test would show them, like the spacebar pulling down the Alt keys and just random crap like that.

Das. I'm planning to get the Das Pro Silent and modding it since I don't like the glossy finish. I would have gotten the Ducky 9008-G2 but it's a limited edition and they're out. It's so sad because this year was my year. Anyways, they're both glossy so that wouldn't matter. The Das has a more minimalistic styling that lots of people like. The Blackwidow to me looks like junk. Some of it is nice like the backlighting (which you can get from Deck and Mionix keyboards).

After owning both brands I have to say the Das.
Why? Das has superior quality and reliability.
I hear of countless stories of the BW/BWU dying, the only stories I hear of a Das dying is when somebody spills their coffee on it.
Personally I own a Das and I have zero regrets, it was worth every penny.
