Thanks all for recommendation guys, repped! I'm not planning on OC the CPU as it will be a cheap AMD one. I'm gonna leave this machine running something 24/7 and it doesn't require a fast CPU.

Definitely do not get the ABS Majesty 1100W. It's a 800-850W unit at best, and not a very good one.

I would also avoid the Corsair HX1000.
I would suggest the OCZ ZX 1000W however.

1000W units aside... I do believe a good 850W would be fine. The problem is finding one with 6 PCIe connectors, there aren't a lot off the top of my head. The only I can think of is the Corsair HX850.
What will you be doing with that computer?

abs 1000 uses the same unit as enermax btw

i would suggest a corsair hx 1000 or ax1200 . You really dont need more than 1000 for an amd set up without oc

The ABS Majesty 1100W is not an Enermax.
The ABS SL 1050W is. Not all ABS units are made by Enermax.

what sort of load will it be under, and regardless the tdp of the cpu will be I would think at least 100w, you might get away with a 850w psu but it will be close, best to pay a few more $ and get a 950+w imho.

where is the PSU guru? lol...

EDIT: Whilst I will have to admit that Cooler Master is not the most reputable PSU company, they do make SOME good units. For example, my Cooler Master Silent Pro 600W has performed VERY well and has received excellent reviews...

Indeed.

Other good 850W PSUs with 6 PCIe connectors include some Super Flower Golden Green units: NZXT Hale90 850W, Kingwin Lazer Gold 850W, and even Rosewill Lightning Series 800W (this is Golden Green, right?). The Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W and Silent Pro 850W also have 6 PCIe connectors, and they're not bad.

800W is getting kind of low, depending on the CPU and GPU overclocks.

your going to run them in a quad fire config?
