New WC build

Thread Starter
Hi,
I joined OCN in 2009 but couldn't found my old account so this one is new.

Anyway I decided to jump on upgrade this year:

Case: MM Ascension Extended
Mainboard: ASROCK P67 Fatal1ty Professional
CPU: Intel i7-2600k
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance XMP 16GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL9
PSU: Corsair AX750
SSD : Patriot Torqx 100GB
HDD : 4 x 1.5TB WD
GPU: Powercolor HD5870

GPU,SSD and most watercoling stuff is mostly from my old build (changing it from dual loops to single as it was little overkill at time) which worked for me flawlessly for 1.5 year.

what I am getting new:
Case: MM Ascension Extended Mirror Black
Fittings: Alphacool 16/10 compression fitting G1/4 - shiny copper (13/10 I used before are little kinking -> reason for 16/10)
Tubing: Masterkleer PVC 16/10mm (3/8"ID) UV-active silver
Reservoir: Phobya Balancer 250 Gold plated
CPU block: EK Water Blocks EK-Supreme HF Full Copper (to my surprise HF fit 16/10 compression fitting just fine)
Lamptron FC-8 Fan Controller
Black Steel Mesh Fan Guard
Coollaboratory Liquid ULTRA

reusing:
Pump: DDC-1RT/Plus with XSPC top
GPU block: aquagratiX HD 5870
SSD and HDD

Any comments or recommendations ?

Out of curiosity, why are you going with the Ascension?

Mainly because of its space and look.
It can fit any board in it including monsters like EVGA SR2 or server boards later on together with WC and a lot of hard drives.
I also like most of WC separated from electronics, generally if any small leak happen only critical part is on CPU water block as everything else is separated.
