I mean is it really true the cooler only exhausts in to the case?
And that it sucks up its own exhaust air therefore resulting in worse cooling than the reference design?
MSI clearly states 11C improvment to the ref cooler...maybe that doesn´t include continues use?lol
Yes- the fan will exhaust into the case
Yes- you will hit higher core speeds with the stock cooler than any other 6950's
Yes- your CF will rock your face off!

On stock clocks with no additional fans to provide airflow- I tested the TFIII with a 17min Kombustor run... max temp on stock cooler was 64c

I will say that my lightning (6970 tfii) doesn't cool that much better than the reference design, but its much quieter. I haven't run it at crazy high fan speeds though. The highest temp I've seen is 75 while running kombustor extreme burn in while overclocked. Fan was somewhere around 70%. Highest gaming temp was around 65. Dont know what yhe fan speed was. The design of the heatsink makes it exhaust somewhere close to even in the front and back. I can put my hand over the rear grill of the card and feel warm air.
