The H80 is a great cooler. At stock, my i5 didn't touch 50 degrees in Prime95.

Glad to hear that.

Could you try to run Prime95 for 30 min with 4.5Ghz at that core with balanced mode on please? And see what your temperatures will be?

Thx.

I just finished a 12-hour Prime95 at 4.6Ghz/1.39v and only one core hit 60 degrees (balanced profile).

I'm still learning how to OC this thing, my final goal is 4.8GHz at under 1.4v (24/7 use).

I've re-done my OC settings using the guide over at TomsHardware, currently running at 4.6GHz @ 1.35v

Idle temps are in the mid 30's (speedstep disabled) and the load temps so far are in the low 60's after about 15 minutes. Will probably hit around 65-67 given some time. Was getting similar temps under load with the stock cooler at stock speeds/voltage.

My room is 22-24C (central air conditioning).

I've been testing at 1.305-1.320v at 4.6GHz and I'm getting idle temps of 28-33 and load temps of 55-62. I'm still tweaking the vcore, but those are the usual temps I've been seeing.

I plan on doing a 12-16 hour Prime run overnight, and if its stable I'm going to post my results in the water cooling forum since there's not many reviews out.

EDIT: I have the H80 installed with both fans set as intake, the way Corsair has it in the diagram.

EDIT: those load temps are during Prime95 blend test. When actually gaming in BC2 it'll be in the upper 40's/lower 50's.

I recently got an H60 and I am very impressed with it. It is absolutely whisper quiet and a really nice size. The foot print that air coolers have started to take in overclocked PC's these days is pretty laughable.

I look forward to the continued evolution of these closed-loop water coolers.

My plan is to rebuild my PC after Sandy Bridge are replaced by the Haswell 22nm chips. I really love my Q6600 and I am really impressed at its performance longevity so far.

I intend to recycle the Q6600 + H60 into an HTPC/Hyper-spin box. The reason I got the H60 instead of waiting for the H100 was its compact size. I hope I can fit it into a really small and sleek case to use in my living room in the future.

Just cancelled my pre-order. Decided to go for an XSPC kit rather then wait till the 22nd of August... Never mind, at least it made me make the jump to water anyway.
