Help me understand CPU voltages

Thread Starter
Example: Cant remember exact numbers. Applying toward sig. rig.

BIOS set to 1.4, CPU-Z reports min at 1.33 and max at 1.38 under load.
Temps in lower 60s. As long as temps are good, which volts should be used as the max volts applied? The BIOS at 1.4 or CPU-Z reporting max used volts at 1.38?

Bottom line, to apply my max volts for overclocking, should I use the BIOS volts or the max volts reported in CPU-Z.

The voltage difference between what CPUz reads and BIOS is called vdroop. Always go by BIOS! Your temps look good, move forward.
