HDD causing stuttering in games?

Hello

Long ago I did a new build ...

What happens is that when I go to play certain games have breaks. For example playing nfs mostwanted, gta 4.

But what intrigues me is that I can play other games such black ops call of duty, crysis 2, crysis without a break.

Is the processor? Motherboard? Ram?

Some friends of mine said it was the HDD, I have a WD Caviar Green and say it does not load quickly

"Caviar green loads quickly"? Anyway, your windows seems at fault. Try a clean install and try again.

What do you mean by break? It's not a descriptive word in terms of gaming, unless you mean getting up to take one tongue.gif.

Probably the Cav Green. I had it when I was running one as my primary drive. I replaced it with a Spinpoint F3 and haven't experienced it since.

I've gone ahead and edited your title. In the future, please be as descriptive as possible thumb.gif.

HDD stuttering is common in a game that streams a lot of data and it needs to be found on the disk. SSDs with their extremely low seek time virtually eliminate this phenomena.
