Handled it flawlessly by not fixing the actual problem for 2 or 3 years?

Wait...

There were old 360s damaged by a new firmware update? >_>

Should I turn it on? I haven't done so in months...

You do know AMD and IBM designed the 'APU' for the Xbox360. I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

That's strange. Might not apply to the US then. But I didn't need to pay for repairs on my PS3.

From what I've read, the problem is one of the DVD drives they use in some of the older 360s.... anyone know which drive it was?

Probably able to do this because there aren't many old ones still functioning enough to be affected by it.

This is what I'm hoping. I don't know anyone besides myself still running an old 20GB launch console. I'd assume most people who owned one had it RROD on them by now.

I am and my wife uses it every day to watch movies on Netflix and DVD. Also had Xbox live before it came out. My brother beta tested it and kind of made the rest of us get it.
