It's virtually immune to small arms and autocanon fire; the TV guided missile is as fast as air-to-air missiles; it recharges flares too fast; and worst of all, there are no man portable surface to air missiles.

You can't reliably shoot it down with anything but another helo, and that only works if you get the jump on them and your gunner has better aim.
This, nothing is more frustrating than getting a trace, flares, trace, flares, trace.... Choppers should have 1 MAYBE 2 flares they can use, not infinite.


More OT, I'm really glad Wake is included. This was the first BF map I've ever played (1942 demo, for those who remember it )

They are deff listening to their customers more than the "COD" developers. I'm also praying for proper Joystick support like in BF2/BF2142

Ohhhh snap I predicted it. My guesses for the 4 maps returning in BF3 were (obviously on the first, duh) Karkand, Wake Island (now confirmed), Jalalabad, and Mashtur City. Any news on the other maps? Just no going to the source... xp

I just hope the game has balance. In BC2, the tanks were sitting ducks to everything but a sniper with no ammo and the choppers were immune to everything.

In BF2, everything had it's strengths and weaknesses, so you could stick to what you were good at.

Me, I C4 up civilian vehicles and car bomb noob nests and flags, and occasionally make it impossible to launch helo's from your own base.

To be honest I wish all the BF2 maps would be ported over because I feel like we won't get enough variation of BF3 maps. Just look at what they did to BC2. They Gave us a couple maps and thought they'd give us "free" map packs that would allow us to play other modes on the same maps. Sure, after when they player base started dwendling they released another mappack with a few new maps.

Dang it :/ I was wrong about Jalalabad and Mashtur

They chose Gulf of Oman (forgot about that one xp) and Sharqi Peninsula instead

Sharqi really wasn't played all that much... Jalalabad and Mashtur were played more than that for sure, but Sharqi is a really cool map, I like it more than Mashtur I just thought they would use Mashtur and Jalalabad because they were more popular
