end of days for my crosshair 3

Thread Starter
Hi i thought i might as well just see what people thought in the forum before i bin the crosshair 3 formula because of the dreaded "DET DRAM LOCKED" i no its very common with asus boards i will tell you this is a old board its been around i do believe retrogamer owned it at 1 point it has a ek water block on.

Ok heres what i have tried, ready for the list lol

Removed bios battery and changed cmos clip worked for a few days.
Reseated the graphics card it worked next day for about 4 hrs.

Changed ram to other slots tested ram with memtest for 24hrs no errors booted with 1 stick worked for about a day boom DET DRAM again.

Took out cpu fan cable

cleaned dust out made sure every thing was in place

Set ram voltages in bios so they where correct

Flashed bios to latest

This all happend after i put another hard drive in its never done it before
chuck it??? lol

did you try removing the new hard drive that you installed? Try taking out all drives except your boot drive.

Can you Rma it?

Try taking out the hard drive that you put in, or is that not possible currently?

Also I just did a quick google of the error message and someone mentioned swapping out his CPU for a different one and that fixed his issue.

Link check page 2.

Well for that person in the thread it was a CPU issue, as for you it might be something else.

Did you do anything else, such as a BIOS flash?
