[Solved] Roccat Kave Tip 'n Control issue

For those that don't know that these are a set of head phone, that have an in-line remote to change volume and what not

Now there is a wheel that when turned it changes the volume in windows, the mute button on the control does the same

Now the other day the volume control stopped working, but there is sound, usb cable is plugged in (the headphones don't work without power) and windows has detected, from what I can tell, the device drivers correctly

There no supplied drivers with the product or on the site, as the control detects as an input device, seems native with windows, device manager shows no issues with, I've tried uninstalling the drivers and changing usb ports with no improvement

I tried it on a spare PC and it worked fine, so the unit it functioning fine, although it is not essential that it works, it's just really annoying when I want to chance volume in game

Does anyone know if there is a setting in windows that I can look for to set the device to do what it is meant to (I'm guessing it works similar to the multimedia keys on a keyboard, but I have no idea were to look for such a setting)

Help would be much appreciated

Turns out that the Human Interface Device Access service had been set to manual somehow. Starting it up, fixed the issue.

Yay, no need to format now tongue.gif
