GTX 275 to GTX 570

Thread Starter
So I budgeted myself in a 23in Acer LED Backlit 1920x1080 LCD and an EVGA GTX 570 thanks to my job. So I will be getting that screen no matter what, but what kind of gain are we looking at in games like BC2:Vietnam, MOH 2010, World of Warcraft.

At the same time I will also be grabbing an I5 2500K and board (havnt decided on the board).

So what is the jump from 275 to 570 going to be? Noticible or not?

GTX 275 vs GTX 480:

20+ fps difference.
So, a noticeable upgrade and good choice.
Have fun with your new build!

I went from a 295 to 2x570 and it was a worthwhile investment with noticable improvements. You're good to go sir!

Good choice. I recently went from a 260 to a 570, and it does make a big difference in BC2. I run everything maxed with x32 AA and get around 80 fps.

It depends how OC'd you both are.

A 470 can be OC'd to defeat a stock 570, but w/both at max OC's the 570 is likely to be around 5-10% faster.

CPU's may come into play depending on the particular bench/game that you test on, as well as the settings you're using.

The test you'll smoke him the most on is Vantage (esp. using Perf preset). Not only is CPU part of the overall score, it also affects the GPU score a bit, plus the 5xx series do un-naturally well in Vantage.

The GTX 570 is comparable to the GTX 480, so you have your co-worker beat. biggrin.gif

That i5 2500k also offers a pretty nice performance boost over the i5 750, especially overclocking it to 5 GHz and beyond. smile.gif
