Ok, so I gave it 2 days to run, and it was fine.... Took the 2 SSDs I had in the PC previously and popped them in to format, check firmware and health issues.... one SSD formatted fine, the other locked up the comp... I think I found the problem (thanks to you guys)

I'm pretty sure the SSD is still under warranty, I'll have to look that up in a minute and see about RMAing it. Hopefully it's still covered.

see i would have gone SSD for os, but after seeing this, and a few other SSD failure threads a while ago. i think ill rely on my caviar black.

i cant have my pc down due to an SSD failure, i need it for work as well as play.

I wouldn't write off SSDs, I had this comp running flawlessly on 1 SSD for a couple months... Now that I look back, it wasn't until I installed the 2nd SSD in RAID 0 that I started having problems. I am not experienced in RAID, and probably did some things to mess it up (found firmware is different on my 2 drives, and had a couple power outages)
