U2410 flickering issue.

Thread Starter
Hello.
I'm having a weird issue with my U2410. Basically, the monitor will flicker occasionally on a particular color, it does not flicker all the time on that particular color, but randomly.

Ive also noticed that if the color is separated by various colors on the screen, those sections of that one particular color will flicker. Putting the mouse pointer over the flickering color seems to stop, but if i move the mouse pointer away it might comeback or not.

The whole phenomena does not last long, usually just 10-20 seconds.
Does anyone have (had) similar issue like this and what would be the solution?
I have the A02 revision.
Thanks.

I've experience flickering with some dell monitors, but it was due to the operating system that was install and the drivers for the graphic card. I just ordered a second U2311h today but the first one I had was a rev01. I've heard before that the rev02 produce different lighting and had different color settings. So i dont know what big of a difference between the U2311h and the U2410 or what they might have a common. I'd suggest you send it back to Dell is it is still under the 3 year warranty! Good luck with the monitor!

Flickering is a sign of blown capacitors on the inverter board but the color deal is quite strange, have you opened it up?

Perhaps there may even be blown caps on the signal board?

Have you tried a firmware upgrade? I know Faroudja Processing caused problems with the Dell 2007WFP and Dell 2407WFP models which was fixed via a firmware upgrade.
