^^ yeah sorry about that man. After seeing that I started questioning myself if I needed smaller than 1/2 in. I just recall someone telling me to get smaller fittings than what came with the kit. And that they were very hard to get on but provided a much tighter seal and would have to get cut off as they would be too tight to pull off.

so i'm thinking for that setup 1/4 to 1/2 barb right??

Again I apologize i'm a noob and i'm ready to order.
This is a common misconception. G1/4 is the threading size for where you screw the barb into a component, such as a radiator or waterblock. It is the standard threading in water cooling and used by most components. The 1/2" is the actual size of the barb itself. The 7/16" people refer to are a smaller sized tubing that when you place over a barb after expanding it with hot water that seals itself tightly on the barb after it cools down and shrinks again.
