overclockersunited Tech Tips #4: Why you should have an after market GPU/VGA cooler - Page 3

maybe you should do some research into what your video is about, say for the aftermarket cooler, its all good to say its better than the stock, but you need to back it up. people dont want to see your video on how good a cooler is if you dont provide numbers. what temp does it idle at with the cooler, what temp does it load out on playing a high quality game like crysis and how much of an improvement does it make over the stock cooler. your aim is to basically sell the product to the viewer, thats really what a review is. i personally if i was after a aftermarket vga cooler and i opened your video id only watch the first 10 seconds or so to see the cooler then id skip to the last minute were id expect to see results. and other than the temp improvement you also have to impress your buyers, everyone who will replace their vga cooler will overclock otherwise they wouldnt do it. OVERCLOCK your card and show that the increased cooling performance got you another 100mhz core or something

I have a review on the XIGMATEK Bifrost coming soon, I'll overclock my card and show it in the review. Thanks!

also you need to know what your talking about, ive seen so many reviews on motherboards were they claim "oh and its got a 10+2 phase VRM" and leave it at that. i bet that none of them knew why a 10+2 phase was better than a 6 phase or what it even did. need to know what the product did. like in terms of heat sinks, what is it made out of, what is it coated in, how many heatpipes does it have, what accessories come with it, and what i think is EXTREMELY important with aftermarket vga cooler reviews is how heavy is it. vga pcb flex from an overly heavy cooler can be really bad
