Asus P8Z68-V Pro vs P8P67 Deluxe (pls help, need to make purchase today)

Thread Starter
Which would I be better off with, P8Z68-V Pro or P8P67 Deluxe? I pretty much have to make a decision today if I want to get a great deal on it.

Could someone elaborate on the differences or advantages for one over the other?

I really wish the P8Z68-V Deluxe was out...would make my decision so much easier!

P.S. Is there any Gigabyte Z68 motherboard that supports virtu -d mode and is around the same quality as a P8Z68-V Pro or Deluxe?

P8Z68-V Pro.

I started with the P8P67 Pro B2 and exchanged it for a P8P67 Deluxe B3 after the recall. Had nothing but problems with both of them - double boot, random freezes, dropped drives, wouldn't wake from sleep. Tried various fixes, BIOS updates (P8P67 Deluxe has had 7 BIOS releases in 4 1/2 months), and troubleshooting by an ASUS rep on [H]. All to no avail.

Finally exchanged the P8P67 Deluxe for a P8Z68-V Pro last weekend and it's been running smoothly since the first boot - and all with the exact same hardware. If you have a choice, why risk the P67?

Yeah, I am hoping the Z68 will have less growing pains than P67. I just returned a P67 board that was junk and ordered a Z68. I have heard from a few people now that Z68 has less of the issues P67 does. Here is hoping.
