I'm running a server at 86.19.228.17 - mining coins on my PC for the time being so as long as the game doesn't crash it'll stay up.

This game is sorta like Minecraft but not as much as everyone says. Yes, you build houses and such but its more of a Castlevania or Metroid type game that gives you the ability to build. Minecraft is about creativity and Terraria is more about gameplay. Both are great and chances are, if you like MC, you'll like this. If you're a fan of old school platformers too, you'll eat this up.

I love it. Its similar to Minecraft with the building, crafting, and mining but thats just a small part of the game. It has more to do with exploring and fighting monsters and the way it plays is a lot like the newer 2D Castlevania games with a touch of Zelda. As you explore and kill monsters you find chests with items that improve your character (like Double Jumping, Health Regen, speed boots, Extra Hearts etc.) or you gain weapons/ Items (actual items or the stuff to craft them, like a Boomerang, Grappling Hook, Bombs, Metals, etc.).

The more you play the game and the bigger your house the more NPC's come and live with you. Each NPC offering something to help you along the way (i.e. Potions, Bombs, Full Health, Magic). This game has really surprised me with the amount of content it has for such a low price. I bought the four pack with my friends and we've spent about 70 hours combined playing it since release. I don't think I've ever bought a game on day one with out prior knowledge of it and having so much fun.

Really fun to play,it's similar to minecraft because you can build, craft and mine, pretty much it,Terraria focuses much more on combat and gameplay, which i love about it.
