Alright so it looks like the estimates say May or June release and judging by its late May now I would expect either late June or early July. It is available unlocked from the UK Here and looking at the bands 2G and 3G will work as AT&T uses 850 and 1900. There is no way to know for sure if 4G will work because AT&Ts LTE network has almost nothing posted about it, but I would say if it's true LTE it's more likely than not. Of course you could always wait for the US launch and AT&T will be more than happy to brag it up.

Wow so everyone who owns are Iphone is a moron nicely put.

The apps on the Iphone are far from silly and crap and most of the Android ones are the same thing anyway , just copies .

Ok have been reading up more. I ran across this

"Another enigma is which region will receive what verison of the phone. Because, as you might know, the Samsung Galaxy S2 will come in 2 flavors: powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU or by Samsung’s own Exynos processor. Which one would you guys prefer?"
source

If I am understanding that correctly it will be a crap shoot on which processor it comes with?

If that is the case will the SGS2 be the right choice?

Well both CPUs are dual cores 1.2GHZ but which is better idk. Also one thing I heard that's different is that one will have an NFC chip while the other doesnt.

ok so after seeing reviews and hearing you guy's input I have decided to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S2.

i have a question about apps and not sure if I should just open a new thread for it or continue in this thread?

How safe are the apps out there from a Security stand point? Is there firewall/AV that should be installed on these new phones? I thought I heard of some Droids getting a Virus, but it may have just been rumors. Is there an app for "cough" Lotus Notes/iNotes "cough" (POS application but eh need it for work)?

viruses are rare on phones, even if you get one on your phone they have to get past all the security that android phones have (both rooted and unrooted). And even if you get one, google has made a habit to remotely kill it if it is on your phone(which some people will complain about but I think its good imo).

It's not a big deal because google is a good company and if they ever went bad, them being able to kill you apps would be the least of your concern.

Hi bratas - Hope you found a suitable phone to run LRW on. We are also looking at LRW for use at work. (I have an iPhone4). I am interested to know how you are going with it and if you like it or not. I am a bit unsure on what the user experience will be like in a sandbox. Love to hear about it.
