Setting up different cards

I just plugged in two 8800gtx into my rig so that they could fold instead of just laying around. My question is do I need to install drivers for these cards? My main card is a 560ti, are those drivers all I need? Is there anything special I have to do to get the 880gtx's to work with the 560?

all you have to do is install it and it should be good to go. Keep in mind, all it can be used for is physx and folding ect..

you nvidia drivers should have picked em up. You can plug your monitor into them to make sure or open device manager and see if they pop up. Then you should download FAH GPU TRACKER and use the auto setup in the config to get all 3 cards folding corretly at the same time.

I believe all you will need to do is add a flag to force the GPU to fold.
But that's about it.

test them by using folding@home id guess.

xxbassplayerxx has a awesome MultiGPU setup guide for getting individual cards to fold. http://www.overclock.net/folding-hom...gpu-guide.html

follow his guide and youll be able to test each card on its own. if the card folds then its all good to go.

as for the drivers you shouldnt need to, the only reason your asked for your graphics card series and operating system when you download them off nvidia's site is so you dont download a driver that doesnt support the card or operating system. pretty much all of the latest drivers are backwards compatible with older series cards.

Alright, thanks everyone. I think everything is working well, hopefully it stays that way but may have to take one 8800 out cause it seems to be overheating a bit :/
