2600K idle temp

Thread Starter
it sits at 23~25C @ 3.4ghz (stock), 33~35C @ 4.6ghz, 39~41C @ 4.8ghz and 45~48C @ 5.0ghz.

are these considered alright? i've tried both NH-D14 and H70 but difference were minimal. i don't know if i should lap hsf to see if there's going to be any difference. maybe should i get one more water cooling loop??

what's your idle temp at what setup?

Idle temps are not so important, the load temps is the thing you should be looking at if you're considering extra cooling.

i didn't mentioned loaded temp because it somewhat differs by which stress test but max load temp on both hsf never went up above 75C @ 4.6ghz, right around 82C @ 4.8 and @ 5.0ghz, it goesabove 90 which i shut it down as soon as it hits 90C...

You might need to find the lowest stable vcore for your OC or try to get a better cooling if you want to keep your 5ghz. Seems to me it's too high
