Using another backplate for the H60

Hi,

This is my first time changing my CPU cooler and would like to ask if it would be fine if I were to use the existing backplate (Existing cooler was using the Ximatek Dark Knight, backplate as well...).

So far I have went ahead and installed it and it seems to be running okay. But I was worried if there would be any potential issues that would arise? Like will the contact point be too tight or loose? Would there be a fitment issue? Or all backplates are the same..?

Thanks

As long as you're getting good temperatures and everything is running right, you're good to go - if you were having high temperatures that would mean that the back plate didn't have enough back pressure.

Ah thanks for the reply. I have tried to compare the temps when i unplug the water pump and when I have it plugged in. Just to do a silly test on whether it actually has contact.

Unplugged : approx 83 degrees celsius
Plugged in : approx 39 degrees celsius

Ambient Temp approx. 29 degrees celsius.

Do you guys think that's fine?

Sorry for the newb questions

Thanks in advance!
