Help with optimized voltage settings!

Thread Starter
First off, let me apologize if the info I'm asking about is already on this forum somewhere. I've been looking for answers for days and I'm struggling a bit.

I have a new GA 890FXA UD5 with a 1090T. Core is OC's to 3.6MHz (x18). CPU Z gives an HT link speed of 1808 MHz. My RAM is where I have questions. I have 2 Corsair 4gb sticks. pc15000 1866+. (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9). NB Freq at 1808MHz DRAM Freq at 803.7 MHz. 1:4 ratio. 11 11 11 29 41 2T. I've tried to up the voltage and raise the FSB to 233. It says my voltage is not optimzed and I end up with a boot problem. I get a screen that says I have voltage issues and restes my BIOS to 200MHz FSB. When I try to change any voltages I get the system is not optimized message in flashing red in the BIOS.

Does anyone know how I can get the 1866 out of the RAM and my HT Link to 2000 MHz with stable voltages? I know I'll have to lower the multiplier on the core. My Memory Clock is set a x8 right now. Or should I even do it? Please help me out, O' Overclocking Masters!

Why would you need to lower the core multi?
Just raise the NB and HT multipliers. Raise HT jsut by 1, and raise NB as fas as it goes.

as you raise the multipliers, it raises the core speed too and I do not want to go over 3.8GHz.

The core clock, the HT and the NB are on 3 different multipliers. Look closer at the BIOS settings smile.gif

That will get my ram overclocked without the need for a voltage raise?

You know what, can you post a CPUz screenshot of the CPU, Memory and SPD tabs?(make sure you switch to "high performance" power plan before you take the screenshot)
