Should I bother?

Yesterday I recieved a New Gigabyte GTX 580 Windforce X3 from an RMA I did.

The first RMA I did because the middle fan was rattling at high RPM.

When I put the new Card in my computer, the fan thats the furthest away from the Monitor connections are running 100% all the time, So I called them and they told me to send it back in to them, They're paying shipping.

I had to wait an entire month to get the card back, because of Easter and the national holiday, and cant be arsed to wait that long again, but probably wont take that long.

So my Question (TL: DR) : Should I bother to send back the new Card I got back, when I am going to put a waterblock on it anyway? take note that It could be some bad soldering on the Fan connection, but I wont be using that anyway.

If you are replacing the cooler and wont need the air cooling solution wouldn't bother since it will take so long to RMA it. However if you plan to resell the card with the stock cooler down the road might think about it. IMO I wouldn't worry about it since you don't want to wait and I wouldn't either. Plus side id they are paying the shipping which is nice of them.

If it's going to take that long I wouldn't bother, however you'll be unable to sell the card without the waterblock or some other kind of compensation

Hmm. I'd say if you're going to watercool I'd probably just leave it be. I'd RMA it if you have plans of selling it though. Probably just wait for a period where you won't be needing it (like a vacation, time where you won't be needing computer power due to work, ect) and RMA it then, just get it in before you want to sell it so that there are no flaws when you sell it.

EDIT: Really? Beat by two people who said the same thing? That stings.

The warranty on the card is a few years though. If I would want to sell the card, I could just say it started to happen later, but Ive already told them what problems I have with it, so they know its malfunctioning now
