Please tell me i didn't damage my card?

Hey fellas,

Was just applying some new TIM (Arctic MX-2) to my GPU, as i said id get rid of the stock stuff that was on it, as i felt it was running a bit too hot for my liking (~70ish) after a full loop of Heaven.

Anyway after applying it, i was at about 6-7th camera stage and i heard a fan throttling so i turned it off, and checked HWMonitor and my max gpu temp was ..103c.
This wouldnt have been for more then a minute tho, i obviously put too little tim on in : / im seriously hoping i didnt damage the card, i only just bought it lol.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated thanks.

I doubt you did any damage. If you kept it there for say 30 mins or so...
Then maybe. But you caught it relatively quickly. You should be fine.
Just reapply the TIM and you should be good to go.

You're fine. Obviously, don't run it at 103 every day... but GPUs can handle more heat that CPUs.

My 8800GTX used to get up to ~95 degrees while gaming/folding fairly frequently and it's still going strong to this day in my workstation.

As long as it wasnt running like that for an extended period of time you are fine. Did you smell anything?

Since you aren't seeing any artifacts and temps are solid I really wouldn't worry too much. You got a bad mount on the GPU and that's all it is.
