Custom pc desk-case question for modders/designers

Hi I just saw this as tweeted by maximum pc and I would love for my next machine to be encased somewhat like this , any of you guys got any idea how you'd go about designing something like this the two requirements it would have for me anyway would be

Custom liquid cooling compatible and also easily upgradeable e.g. gfx cards, cpu mobo etc.

I've seen this a few times, although I haven't seen a floating desk, and that just takes it to another step of epic win

I will see if I can find the previous ones

Edit: Not the build log I saw, but this is similar

Edit 2: lol just noticed I posted in that news thread a few posts down... aren't I the active one

Wow just saw his build log, that's incredible. I wish i had even half the construction skill (or patience) to build that!

Really do want something like it though!

You should probably plan out the size based on componants. Spacing will be the issue, as well as heat dissapation.

He has watercooling running into his crawlspace beneath the floor. Unless you're plannign on doing something similar, you're going to have to figure a way to configure the cooling differently, so that's additional space.

Do you have any experience with Sketchup or CAD? Those would be beneficial, though not necessary. Paper/pencil would work fine.

I think, for the most part, measuring its the key, here. After that, materials. Aluminum would be easiest to work with since you can cut it with a dremel.
